To extend the trees you can spray onto the terrain, you use the button that opens the tree library for editing. Clicking Edit Trees brings up the panel where you can add new tree prefabs to the list, remove ones you don’t want, and adjust their settings. Once you’ve added more trees there, switch back to the Paint Trees tool to select from the updated list and paint with those new trees. The actual painting action is done with the Paint Trees control, not while editing. The other labeled options aren’t the path to add new trees in this workflow.
